Invalid printer settings - Microsoft Dynamics AX Community Forum. Printing Update.. HP Universal Print Driver on the AOS, we decided to redeployed an older copy of our AOS and SSRS servers over the weekend which removed these items. This coupled with our existing troubleshooting experience lead me to a better understanding of the printing environment in AX. After deployment of the older servers I opened the print manager and checked the drivers and versions on both our file and print server and the AOS and found that there were several drivers missing on the AOS and the ones that were missing were our problem printers. I'll be deploying those print drivers to the AOS server this evening during non production hours and reporting back on how things go. I do believe at this point that this will help our printing issues tremendously and believe that in order for AX to print successfully that it is imperative to have all print drivers identical on both your clients and AOS server. I have to admit that I walked into this AX environment in the middle of its deployment and the servers were already setup when I got here, but actually during the latter phases of our AX deployment process (when printing became more of a necessity) I was never told or ever found an article that specifically stated how printers were to be deployed successfully in order for both local and AOS printing to work. Actually I never even knew printing went through the AOS until I started to get my hands dirty and dug deeper into this problem. I hope this helps others who are experiencing this same issue and I'll report back in the morning to let you know how it goes.
